Good or bad, all immigration officials conduct their own background investigations before taking action & before making any decisions about you. They have access to many sources of information: fingerprints, court records, driving history, your history of missing court dates, your social media, facial recognition software, credit checks, etc. Police officers, prosecutors, and judges likewise will want to know about your background and history.
To be sure: YES, we are absolutely interested in your oral history. We do listen carefully to whatever you tell us! However, Ms. Trinidad is also a firm believer in having records so that her legal advice is based on facts, not just on your memory and/or your or her beliefs.
