The Cost of Attorney Consultations
As to immigration cases, Ms. Trinidad provides paid consultations only. There is a consultation fee of $300 to $500. That fee reflects the economic value of Ms. Trinidad’s time, learning, reputation, and professional judgment. (“Talking to a lawyer” is completely different from talking to your neighbors, friends, or family.)
Hiring Trinidad Law Office, LLC
To hire our office, you will pay a retainer and (depending on the case and circumstances), there will be either a written contract or an engagement letter. You will receive a receipt every time you pay money to our office.
Putting the Cost of Legal Services in Perspective
Cost to you of buying a car:
$3,000 to $20,000
However:
You may not be able to drive that car if you have legal problems!
Cost to you of buying a house:
$50,000- $600,000
However:
You may not be able to live in that house if you can’t stay in the USA!
Cost to you of throwing a party:
$500 to $10,000
However:
The party is just 1 day. It has no lasting value, it’s merely… fun.
Cost to you of paying a smuggler:
$5,000 to $15,000
However:
Even the best “coyote” can only help you to live in the USA illegally.
Flat Fees as of 2026:
We now offer flat fees for all cases.
(NOTE: Attorneys fees do not include fines paid in court; government filing fees; the costs of requesting records, such as court dispositions; etc.)
YOU PAY A RETAINER, AND THEN MAKE PAYMENTS THEREAFTER.
Typical Fee Structures for Payment of Attorney Services:
- $3,500 retainer in Immigration cases, followed by payments of $1,500/year
- $1,500 retainer for DUI cases, followed by payments of $500/month;
- $2,500 to $4,500 total for Superior Court domestic violence cases;
- $600 to $5,000 total (for other/more predictable/more routine cases).
